There are three elements to this cake which all come together to make for one unforgettably delicious cake.
First there is the gorgeous cake that is gently spiced with five-spice powder , cinnamon , ginger and vanilla. Then there is the layer of roasted plum filling.
The roasted plum filling is so good you’ll have trouble not eating it before you assemble the cake.
And cover all this deliciousness with an extraordinary icing. You can tell the icing is a little different just by looking at the list of ingredients. There’s quite a lot in this icing and the result is wonderful.
Takes a bit of time to pull it all together but it is really worth the effort.
